Taxicab drivers are independent contractors. The following items will be considered when evaluating a new enrollee/driver:

• The age of the driver prefer age 25-65
• The number of moving violations and at fault accidents
• The number of DWI convictions – any DWI convictions within 5 years will disqualify the driver.
• Mississippi Driver's License that has a class D endorsment and with current address shown.

Each independent contractor driver is responsible for obtaining a taxi driver's license from the (HCMVHC) Harrison County Motor Vehicle for Hire Commission and the City of Ocean Springs.
